Pages for six more places in the DMV
Alexandria, Arlington, Silver Spring, Owings Mills, Waldorf and Southern Maryland each have their own page now, with the kinds of tasks people there ask for and what to expect before you post. The Alexandria and Arlington pages are written for older adults and the family members who help them.

Pick your address when you post from the website
When you post an in-person bounty from this site, the location field now suggests real addresses as you type, and you pick one. Before this, a typed-in location didn't carry map coordinates, so bounties posted on the web didn't show up in the app's nearby search or in hunters' radius alerts. Now they do.
You don't need your house number: a street or neighborhood from the list is enough, and you can give the full address to the person you choose in the app's messages. Online bounties don't need an address at all. The field is optional for remote work, so add a timezone if it matters.
Type your street or neighborhood, pick one of the suggested addresses, and the bounty gets map coordinates, so it shows in the app's nearby search and in hunters' radius alerts. Before this change, a typed-in location had no coordinates, so web bounties didn't reach hunters nearby. -
Homepage buttons fixed
Some homepage buttons had stopped showing after an update. They're back, the links in the menu jump straight to their section again, and on a phone the menu now closes when you tap Earn.

What tasks cost, who's behind Bounty, and how it works in the DMV each have their own page now: /pricing, /about and /washington-dc. Until today, the links to them from our footer went nowhere.

Our real numbers, on the homepage
The homepage now shows what has actually happened on Bounty: money paid out to neighbors, bounties completed, and our App Store rating, with the date we last checked. Each completed bounty is listed and linked, and there's a plain comparison of what TaskRabbit and Thumbtack add on top of the price.

A homepage built around posting
We rebuilt the homepage. It has a price picker with typical local ranges for eight common tasks, a board of open bounties, and the four of us, with names and photos.

Easier to find, safer to use
Added a sitemap and an llms.txt so search engines and AI assistants can read the site properly, tightened our security headers, and gave every form field a label that screen readers can announce.

The iPhone app went live. Post a task, set the reward, and a verified neighbor nearby picks it up, with the money held until you say it's done.
What's changed lately, and how do I get it?
The newest changes are at the top of the list above. App updates come through the App Store or Google Play, and website changes are live on the date shown.
What's changed lately if I post bounties?
You pick your address from a list when you post an in-person bounty from the website, so hunters nearby actually get alerted to it (7 October). Six more DMV places have their own page with typical local tasks (8 October). Before that: a page that spells out what tasks cost, with typical local ranges for eight common tasks (28 September).
What's changed lately if I claim bounties?
Bounties posted on the website now show up in the app's nearby search and in your radius alerts, the same as bounties posted in the app (7 October). The iPhone app's 2.1.0 update made ID verification smoother (15 September).
How do I get the newest version of the app?
Update Bounty from the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android. Website changes need nothing from you. They're live on the date listed here.
Where do these dates come from?
App releases are dated from the App Store's version history. Website changes are dated to the day they went live on bountyfinder.net. If we can't point to the date something shipped, it doesn't go on this page.
Why isn't the feature I'm waiting for listed?
Because this page only lists what's already live. There's no "coming soon" here. If something is missing, or something broke, tell us through support.
Bug reports help most when they say what you tapped, what you expected and what happened instead, plus your phone model and which version of the app you're on. A screenshot of the screen where it went wrong saves a lot of back-and-forth.
