Robert Lee Wright III
Founder & CEO, Bounty Inc.
I'm one of Bounty's four founders and its CEO. Bounty is the local odd jobs app for Washington, DC and the DMV: you post a task, set the reward, and Stripe holds the money until you confirm the job is done.
Before founding Bounty, I attended Howard University before financial complications forced me to leave. I went on to work two jobs: one as an electronic technician and another as an overnight front desk attendant at a gym. It was during those overnight shifts that the idea for Bounty took shape. I believed my skills had value to someone; I just needed the opportunity to put them to work. That realization became the foundation for Bounty: a platform that connects people who need things done with people who can do them, turning overlooked skills into real earning opportunities. Two years later, I'm building that vision into reality.
I write Bounty's side-by-side comparisons with TaskRabbit, Craigslist and HandIt, and keep the changelog of what we've shipped. Email to the founders comes to me.
